BIO // INTRODUCING BLAME CAESAR

Blame Caesar are a dynamic Bedfordshire-based five-piece indie band delivering high-energy indie-rock anthems with a modern edge. Combining soaring vocals, intricate guitar solos, and irresistible rhythmic breakdowns, the band has carved out a reputation for electrifying performances during their first year of live shows.  Led by frontman Joe Cullen, alongside Max Randall (Guitar), Chris Benner (Guitar), Lui Tomlinson (Bass), and Ed Bavister (Drums), Blame Caesar blend the timeless energy of classic rock with modern indie sensibilities.

Since their launch in late 2023, Blame Caesar have headlined renowned London venue the Camden Assembly and shared the O2 Islington Academy main stage with 90's cult classic Toploader. Their debut single Shall We Dance (July 2024) made waves, amassing over 5,000 streams within its first few months and featured on BBC Three Counties Introducing show with high praise from Kerrie Cosh. The follow-up release of Don't Let Me Fall continued the momentum, with the emotionally charged rock heavy track receiving regional radio support and showcasing the band's signature mix of passion, precision, and crowd-pleasing hooks.

Benefitting from a rich musical background and upbringing the five-piece band have wide influences ranging from Nashville and Irish Country Hits alike, through Funk and Motown, to Heavy Rock and Electronic House. As a result, the band have taken sing-along, catchy songwriter choruses produced by established frontman Joe Cullen and transformed them. In doing so adopting sounds from the band's wide ranging influences such as Foals, Bombay Bicycle Club, The 1975 all the way through to sounds reminiscent of Fall Out Boy, Muse, Linkin Park, and Paramore. The result is a strong lineup of heavy-hitting singalongs full of passion and energy.

Their ability to captivate audiences with powerful originals  and a strong arsenal of reimagined covers has earned them glowing reviews from venues and audiences so far, including praise for their "great dynamics, strong vocals, and impressive set flow." Promoters have described Blame Caesar as a band that "delivers and then some," with performances that leave venues "bouncing" and listeners wanting more. Whether performing original tracks or reworking iconic classics from the likes of Kasabian and The Prodigy, Blame Caesar are a polished must-see act ready to charge up the audience and deliver a high-octane set.

FUTURE // WHAT'S NEXT

The boys are back in the studio during January 2025 with a number of fresh tracks expected to land during H1 2025. The release of new music will complement a busy live schedule with three shows, including an independent venue week support slot, a much anticipated hometown show at renowned venue Bedford Esquires rounding it off with a headline slot at Strongroom in Shoreditch all taking place during the first three months of 2025. Doubling down on an excellent 2024 it is expected that the band will continue to grow from strength to strength building and broadening their reach beyond London and the home counties, proactively establishing a strong online following in the process.  The band are actively exploring opportunities to work with like-minded and ambitious promoters, venues, and labels and would be glad to hear from you.

Notes:

Our current live sets do not include the use of click track or samples. Where possible on stage monitors with custom mixes are preferable, particularly for the lead (Joe) and drums (Ed) but we can be flexible. The provision of house equipment and back line such as  house drum shell kit, cymbal stands, microphones, amplifier mics, and cables helps us travel light and is much appreciated. Where required we are able to source additional microphones and cables. Where possible the band would be grateful to soundcheck no later than 1 hr prior to doors.
